Cabinet by William Evans, marquetry by James Macdonald

From William Evans-
"Our latest completed commission was a beautifully detailed watch collector's cabinet. The cabinet is crafted with mottled bubinga on the top and sides, with bookmatched figured anigree drawer fronts sitting on a mahogany base. Each drawer has dividers to hold the watches carefully while still allowing the watch to be seen. There is also a flat felt-covered panel that slides out neatly to allow the collector to lay out selected watches for handling or display.

The table has more interesting details - a marquetry watch decoration on the top, and a handmade locking mechanism. The marquetry is so detailed that the buckle of the watch shows the shadows of polished brass, and each number is individually inlaid."
