“Pan”-this strange design was a collaboration between Macdonald and Wyoming woodworker Jimmy Covert. It was made as a panel for a wine cellar door. The client is a Gentleman Rancher whose tastes are somewhat bawdy. The accurate sawing of the letters and the noodly vines were very challenging. Another demanding aspect of the project was to create a drunken expression on Pan’s face that says to the observer- “Come join me”.
